It was a first EVO meet in 2010, hosted by SoCal EVO & HB Mitsubishi. EDO as one of the main distributor & a Tuning shop for EVO, we were invited to set a booth there. There was about 100 EVOs show up and filled the parking lots. At EDO booth, we gave out T-shirts and other gifts to the public. We have 3 sponsored EVOs displayed at our booth, which we have to special thanks to our guesses: Alan Vanous, Steven Welch, & Martin Enriquez for showing up there. The EVO fans were impressed with what EDO has accomplished to the displaying EVOs. Couple power packages were presented to the EVO fans. Despite that, EDO also displayed some popular parts for EVOs such as: Cusco sway bars & strut bars, Motul Racing Oils & Braille batteries. Raffle was taken place at 2pm, where EDO has contributed 2 Motor oils on raffle.
Followed by the Formula Drift, EDO was invited to participate at the JTuned Super Meet on 11/21/09, 9am – 3pm at Irwindale Speedway. EDO was setting booth on behalf of Braille Battery USA, which is the main sponsor to Formula Drift on 2009. We were displaying some Braille Batteries and one of our show cars, Nissan Skyline R33 at the meet.
This event is for all drifters to compete for the chance to battle at Formula Drift Championship 2010.
Followed by the Formula Drift at Long Beach back in April, EDO showed up on the FD finale at Toyota Speedway, Irwindale on last Saturday 10/17/09. EDO was representing Braille Battery to set a booth at vendor meet section, which is one of the main sponsors for Formula Drift.
It was a nice sunny day after a cold weather in Southern California. The event opened for public at 1pm, which was the Open Practice time for all drifters at the speedway. The vendors meet section was crowded with traffic, especially when all the drift cars & drivers were resting at their booth. The main sponsors like Falken, BG Goodrich, Cooper Tire, & etc. was having DJ playing music, show girls, professional drift drivers signing poster, & free gifts to public. There’s also a show car section with all kind of exotic cars, vintage cars, modified cars & etc. lined up.
This time, EDO displayed new release products by Braille Batteries – 9 lbs & 12 lbs Lithium Batteries. It’s a Lightweight, stronger cranking amp, and longer product life, which is launch to the market now to target the 2010 racing season! The public was so impressed with the tiny, extremely light-weighted batteries, also with its reasonable price.
The event wrapped up around 9pm. Chris Forsberg with his Nissan 350Z takes the championship of the 2009. It was an awesome event and EDO / Braille will definitely come back to showing more cool products to the drift fans in 2010!

EDO Performance was proud to present Subiefest 2008, the largest Subaru gathering in America! EDO was there both days as Subaru enthusiasts gathered to watch the best of the best go head to head in an all out blown Subaru Time Attack! Aside from the excitement on the track attendees welcomed tons of vendors, live music, test drives in the new 2009 WRX/STi and much more!
Saturday started off with EDO in full force! We had our tent set up and products out for display for the many gathering Subaru fans. Some coming from as far away as Oregon! There was an array of cars on the track, not just Subaru, demonstrating their skill and abilities. EDO had 3 cars that day, preparing for Sunday’s big event. Thomas Smith was out representing EDO and Flat 4 Las Vegas in his 2006 Subaru WRX. Scott VanderHeide was present in his RobiSpec/EDO 2004 STi. Also there Saturday was DC shoe founder and Rally Racer himself Ken Block out on the track taking his Monster STi for a spin and signing autographs throughout the day.
Sunday proved to be the big day as even more fans gathered to watch the all Subaru Time Attack event! There was tons of competition out but in the end EDO performed well! Congrats to Scott VanderHeide for finishing in the top 5 in Modified class. Another congratulations to Thomas Smith for taking 2nd in the Stock class with the Crawford 2008 STi just edging past him! Congratulations to Mike McGuinness and his wagon for taking best in show at Sunday’s car show. All in all it was a great showing despite the heat, oil spills and wipeouts.
